Horse Dreams

Dreaming about horses will not teach you the responsibility of having one. Nor will it hint at the joys of building a relationship of unconditional love and trust with your horse. My dream of having horses could never have prepared me for the life I have with my horses today, because all our dreams must evolve and survive many hard knocks along the way. In this book I have captured some of my experiences with my horses, in part because of all they have meant to me, and also in the hope they may provide you with some information and insights on your own journey with your horse or horses. This new book of mine is a bit more advanced or sharply focused on certain subjects than my other books, reflecting my ongoing journey with my horses. My horses taught me how to ride, not the other way around; they taught me commitment and trust, how to live life in the present moment, and the right meaning of self-love. I would not trade my adventures with my horses for anything in the world, and in truth that would be impossible, for they have shaped me into the person I am today.

Charming & inspiring
What a charming book! I learned so much about living with, learning from, and raising horses – extraordinary that Karin started off knowing nothing but that she had always wanted to live with horses, and through extraordinary patience, good humor, and power of will developed the farm she has today. Really inspiring.

Karin has a wonderful way of sharing her adventures! Because she has taken the time necessary to understand her horses, she has developed the mutual trust and respect it takes to become a champion. It has also given her the insight to describe life through the “horses” eye. After training with her for almost a year I can say she is the true example of Living by the Principles of the Horsemanship Creed. Thank you for being my mentor!!!!!

Just finished reading your book Horse Dreams. What a nice read! You capture the essence of the relationship between humans and horses with such passion and conveyed your special connections with your horses. I learned quite a bit and realize the responsibility that goes into owning a horse and the rewards of your efforts. Awesome book!

This book is a tribute to the first two horses that came into the life of an inexperienced adult woman and the four more that followed. It includes what she learned about horses (by trial and error as well as from instruction), her until-death-do-us-part relationship with each horse, and some practical do’s and don’ts on horse care and training. A lovely read! Janet.
