Karin Matey
When Karin Matey was a child, she helped on the family farm and dreamed that someday she would become an accomplished dressage rider. Her dream came true when Karin and her family moved to a farm in northern New Hampshire, where she began to raise and train her own horses.
Born in West Germany, Karin Matey moved to the United States as a young woman and earned a Business Management degree from Newbury College in Boston, Massachusetts. She taught martial arts for over twenty years and is a fifth degree black belt. She is a graduate of Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics in Boston, Massachusetts, as well.
Karin has raised and trained four young horses, from foal to championship. She has over fifteen years of horse experience and continues to strive for excellence in classical horsemanship. She passes her knowledge on to her riding students, and firmly believes rider and horse should always have fun
